Wednesday Whip-round #2
Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 | Posted in writingIs Google becoming a God? It’s the god of the internet at least.
Sex, draft beer, nightclub, chicken wings… Is this all that men think about? (via Bestweekever)
Get creative with post-it notes, they’re good for more than just making notes.
And if you think that’s scary, check out all the ex-trees littering the walls of author Will Self’s writing room.
And here’s a pretty whip-pic to for our finale:
And we’re done.

I shall call her Ayumi Ziyi. Isn’t she cute! It’s equally easy to create ugly looking beasts at morphthing.

Interesting Linkage: Part 2?
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007 | Posted in Uncategorized1. Does the fact that Katie Price’s novel is outselling the entire Booker shortlist mean that the discerning reader of “quality fiction” is no more?
2. Horror movies as an exploration of the eternal conflict between introvert and extrovert? Interesting theory. I try not to watch horror movies unless they’re more silly than scary. (I know what you did last night…in the pub toilets, with the landlady…)
3. A tip I could have used all those times that I’ve had “wardrobe malfunctions” (thankfully none as embarrassing as you-know-who’s): how to turn a paper clip into a safety pin.
A Perfect Cuppa
Thursday, September 20th, 2007 | Posted in UncategorizedCuppa is a small application for Mac OS X to time your cup of tea as it steeps. Tired of leaving your tea too long, to become bitter and cold, or drinking it too soon and not appreciating its full potential? Then this utility is for you!
A digital solution to an analogue problem. Next we’ll be having tea-making robots or those Star Trek replicators to order whatever beverage we desire.
Spell it out

Sunday, September 16th, 2007 | Posted in UncategorizedI’ve just finished posting several auctions onto ebay on behalf of my brother. The items are all baby-related. As he was clearing out some of his cupboards recently, he came across loads of brand new baby clothes and other bits and pieces that his broody ex-girlfriend purchased while they were together. (Maybe her pregnancy scare wasn’t an accident? I remember her calling my mum and telling her that the condom had burst… we were all on tenterhooks until her period came again.)
Now my brother isn’t in contact with her anymore, and as he’s eager to raise some extra spending money for his trip to Las Vegas in a few weeks, he asked me to help him sell the stuff. I’m taking 10% for my trouble.
Click here to check out the merchandise if you want to buy a nice pressie for an expectant mother. I can find out about international postage if necessary. Email me if you’re interested in taking them off my hands, or have fun bidding!
Crazy Sexy Cool
Thursday, August 16th, 2007 | Posted in Eye CandyYou may be aware of the heated discussions between J.D. and I regarding Apple Macs and Microsoft PCs. We’ve called a truce for the time being, but since I had done some research into cool mac stuff, and you know how much I love a slide show, here is a collection of funny, sexy or cool mac pics. Hope you enjoy it.
