I love seeing this ad in a major railway station on my way home from work; it never fails to make me smile. There’s also an accompanying video on the official campaign site, plus loads more pics on OhLaLa.

It’s got Mr Darcy and Rambo, cheerleaders, random disrobing and rock music. What more could you possibly want?

I love this new advert by Volkswagen, The Fight, which is like a James Bond fight sequence. The concept, the music, and its entire execution just blew me away.

The voiceover at the end tells us: “Sometimes the only one you have to beat is yourself.” It’s so true, sometimes you can’t compare yourself or your work against someone or something else, you can only try to improve upon your own performance.

You can only seek to achieve your personal best. That’s what I intend to do in 2009, to work on improving my life (health, career, romance/fun) without feeling bad for not being like everyone else I know.

Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions for 2009?

We all make mistakes. I think that’s why this ad campaign from Tipp-Ex is so powerful. I’ve made so many mistakes, but having to live with those errors of judgement has taught me so much. Still, if I suddenly gained the power to erase some of those past mistakes, I would be very tempted.

I love this Burger King ad which amusingly likens meat-eating to polygamy. It’s not just men who can’t commit to just one kind of meat, I find it difficult too.
