Wednesday Whip-round #3
Wednesday, October 17th, 2007Do you remember your own phone number? With all the modern technology that we enjoy these days, we barely use our brains for the basic retention of information. Can you remember your schedule without using your Blackberry or PDA? How about your friends’ email addresses? I can just about remember my phone number, and some of my friends’ phone numbers and email addresses. I don’t use an electric organiser for my appointments, so at least I still use the grey matter from time to time.

What’s the time? Forget the talking clock, and check out the human clock.

Who wouldn’t want a life-size Princess Leia monument? Ain’t she cute?

I can remember my own phone number and maybe a few other important ones. The rest are programmed into my four year old cell phone (which I use about once a week, if that) or else written in my address book. My schedule is partly in my head and partly recorded on that most wnderful bit of high tech, the kitchen calendar.
