12. Beyonce Knowles & Sasha (her onstage persona)

Nice vs naughty

I wouldn’t like Sasha if I met her offstage. Oh, no. She’s too aggressive, too strong, too sassy, too sexy! I’m not her in real life at all. I’m not flirtatious and super-confident and fearless like her. I created my stage persona to protect myself, so that when I go home, I don’t have to think about what it is I do. Sasha isn’t me. The people around me know who I really am.

13. Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde

Kind doctor vs murderous beast

    J.D.:

    My childhood says:

    “It’s Yugi and Yami.”

    He’s a good chap.

    Dr. Monkey:

Mmmmm. Ali Larter. It’s always a good daywhen I see an Ali Larter photo.

By the way, you’ve been tagged girl.

    Absolute Vanilla... (& Atyllah):

Ah, yes, our alter egos - some days I’m a whole tea party - all by myself! :-)

    PJ:

JD: your childhood? How old are you? I went through a Yu Gi Oh phase a few years ago. It seems that we’re both right…
    According to Wiki:

Soliciations and summaries for the English-language release of the manga consistently refer to the pharaoh as Yu-Gi-Oh, from the title of the series - a wholly appropriate name for the pharoah, given that it means “King of Games.

Dr M: put it back in your pants, you simian sleaze. Thanks for the tag.

AV: Oh yes, you are quite the shapeshifter.

I can’t wait to get satellite so that I can watch Jekyll. Great list and I never would have thought of the one with Fred.

    Rae:

Great list I always wondered why no one ever put Clark Kent & Superman together lol

    J.D.:

No, I’ve never heard Yugi called Yu-Gi-Oh, but the pharaoh is indeed called Yami. And I’m 14, and my childhood was from about 5 to 11/12. Yup.

    PJ:

JD: I thought you might have been about my age, but you’re quite a bit younger. Maybe the YuGiOh eps they play in America are different from the ones we get in the UK, cos I’ve never heard him called Yami in the tv eps, and I’ve watched quite a few of them.

    J.D.:

Hm. Actually, I’ll buy that. Unless you’re just making up stuff to not agree with me (aka the truth)…

  12. 12
    Susan Helene Gottfried:

    Love that you included Fred!!!

    VERY clever list, PJ!

    Nicholas:

I’ve actually heard of some of these! (4,7,13).
