I...Um…yeah
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007I know I haven’t blogged much about my love-life lately, partly because I’m not actually dating anyone, and partly because it’s a bloody mess despite that fact.
At the moment I appear to have 3 suitors:
- A guy who reads this blog, so I can’t say much about him. He doesn’t live in the UK, so nothing much can happen with him for now. (And it’s not Dr Monkey!
) - A guy I met in Jamaica, who recently informed me that he wants to impregnate me! Like that’s ever going to happen.
- Dirk Dastardly. He came to my workplace recently and told me that he still wants me (again). Yet again I said no. He told me that he’d had some doubts about me because someone had told him that I’d made a gesture referring to a blow job (WTF!), but he’d since decided that they were lying about me. He wouldn’t tell me who it was in case I decided to unleash some vengence on the lying prick.

Hey don’t get me wrong, if I was single and could afford it I be over there in a flash to court you, you hot chocolate British biscuit you. Your parents would shoot me but I’d still try.

Gosh, I know just how you feel. My last suitor was the 70-ish accountant at my old company – a sweet guy, and a friend, but c’mon, he’s older than my father! I’m no spring chicken, but that’s pushing it a bit. Especially as I’ve almost never been attracted to older guys.
There’s an old guy at the library who just comes in, sits and watches me whenever I’m there. Creepy. Must be a sign of incipient decrepitude when the guys checking me out are so old!
The right one will appear for you when the time is right. You’re a young thing yet. And being single (talking from experience here) sure beats the drama of a bad relationship.

Oooh, I’m intrigued. Better to have 3 suitors, not because it’s better than none, but you have the luxury of choosing. Just remember, you’re in control here!
