So my bags are packed, and the holiday madness will commence shortly. I’d packed too many books, and had to remove some of them in order to accommodate my clothes. (The choices a girl must make, I tell ya!)

Not my suitcase

I’ve suddenly decided to make this holiday as low-tech as possible. I’m leaving my word processor at home, eschewing it in favour of a notebook and pen. I’m not bringing my ipod either. All I’m going to bring is my mobile phone (mostly cos I want to see how its display will change in Jamaica) and my camera. I’ll probably change my mind about the ipod in the morning though…

I really need a holiday, I feel so weary, so tired of my life. It’s funny though, I’ve been looking forward to this trip since January, and now the time has come I feel joyless. I had made so many preparatory plans for this trip - lose weight, etc. and as usual nothing’s gone the way I’d planned. No excuses though, I’ve just been lazy and feckless.

I’d planned to pre-post some Sunday Sauces and TTs, to automatically appear on the appropriate days, but somehow time has run out on me, so this is likely to be my last post until my return on 26 May.
