Oops, wrong film, but you get me?!

I watched Apocalypto today at the cinema. It was amazing. Now, I don’t approve of Gibson’s recent antics, but I’d wanted to see the film because I was curious about the concept.

I had been anxious about the gory nature of the film, but all of the gory scenes made sense and did not seem gratuitous in the wider context of the film. The movie was gripping from start to end. The fact that the film was subtitled did not bother me in the slightest as the acting was impeccable. The fact that there were a lot of meaty-looking guys running around in loin cloths did not bother me either… The Very Talented Rudy Youngblood is an amazing actor. Yum.
