Ben: Thanks for the link, but it’s completely turned me off him now. I hate when people use the word “coloured” to describe someone who is not white, though there are a lot of people of a certain age who still use that term in the UK.
It could be interesting to have a non-white Bond, just as it’s interesting having a blond Bond…

The trouble is that what you do over there affects the rest of the world, so it’s important that you make the right political choices. I wondered about that, too…but one thing: I wasn’t actually sure if it was him using that word or the newspaper editors…IIRC, he’s just quoted as saying “black.”

It’s three days later and I’m still euphoric! I had friends and family phoning from home (UK) to tell me how happy they were.
