Autumn Leaves

Sorry that I haven’t been so active on here lately. I just haven’t felt up to writing anything. Nothing much is going on here.

Autumn is under way, it’s raining quite often right now. I hate walking on wet leaves and other bits of organic waste. Everything feels slick and icky.

There’s a definite chill in the air. I had to buy some new sweaters last week as all my tops seemed to be either not warm enough or too warm for this time of year.

I feel fat. I feel fat, but it’s nearly winter and thousands of years of evolution are compelling me to store up provisions for the winter hibernation. Animals have it right – we need to close down for the winter. Wake me up in March, later dudes!

I’m not all bad though; I did get up half an hour early on Monday to do a Gunnar Peterson Core Secrets fit-ball workout. (Next time I do it I’ll try to keep a mental note of some of his cheesy motivational phrases – but he trains J-Lo, so he’s kinda cool.) I used to be able to do 2 gym classes in a row and now a 20 minute workout leaves me with a sore butt a day afterwards – I should be ashamed of myself.

pure tat/crap

Had an okay day at the talking shop… they’re killing me with kindness (well nearly) – i’m clearly not used to being treated with respect and consideration.

I bought myself a spin bike off ebay, which arrived today. I assembled it myself, which made me feel quite chuffed, but perhaps needless to say, my first impression is that it’s completely crap. It belongs in a junk yard, with ripped tesco bags hanging off the handles, that kind of thing. If I had a cricket bat I’d probably smack it about in frustration (though I wouldn’t do much damage to it since it’s made out of metal.)

I’ll give it another go tomorrow, just in case I’m being hasty, but I’m probably going to end up emailing the seller about it.

My  ingenious secret plan for losing weight is disintegrating before my eyes…Oh well, back to the drawing board.
