Sorry about the continued technical difficulties. They are driving me crazy, but I will overcome them soon.

I’m not a good ad for WordPress, am I? My new motto is ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.

Susan Helene Gottfried recently dominated nominated me for a Blogging Star award, which was extremely nice of her.

This award is for bloggers who shine their light throughout the Blogosphere. Some do it with humor, others with creativity, and others with their kind and thoughtful natures. We all know more than a few of them so why not give them some recognition?

I did not start blogging in order to make money, it was an outlet for my thoughts, and if a couple of people read a post or even made a comment that was enough for me. It still is.

Every blogger who reaches a certain threshold of visits probably thinks about the monetization question. Some decide against it, some have a go for fun and others mine every spare inch for money-making. As usual I’m ambivalent. (more…)

Proving that pink isn’t just for girly girls, The Urban Recluse has gone all Hollywood Cerise for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By a freakish coincidence I discovered that the lovely blog designer who did my original cityscape had just created this fiendishly pink outfit, and I had to have it. I’d been thinking about going Pink for October for a few days but hadn’t found any new designs that I liked until now. The design at the top makes me imagine walking through a magical forest, where anything might happen, which I feel is quite apropos for this blog.

Hope you like it as much as I do, but if all this pink is too much you can use the theme switcher in the top left of the page to switch back to Black ‘n’ White City.
