The past couple of weeks have been pretty good. Work is still sucking, but there’s more to life than the 21 hours I spend there.

To cut a long story short, I’ve won an electric guitar! I won it in an online contest run by a graphic design blogger, where there were several ways of entering, and somehow the fates chose me as the first prize winner.

If you’re interested in the details the entire prize is a Squier Strat Electric Guitar by Fender (California Series), Instructional DVD, Electric Tuner, Guitar Strap, Guitar Stand, Gig Bag (Guitar Bag) by Fender, Guitar Cable and Picks. It’ll look something like this:

So what am I going to do with my new axe? Well I used to play classical guitar in my teens, so I’ve got some very basic knowledge of chords and scales already. I plan to have some noisy fun with it and play along with my Aerosmith CDs (eventually). Maybe I’ll even start a rock band.
